Matcha Papanasi
Ingredients:
- 250 g of semi-skimmed cottage cheese
- egg
- 3 tablespoons of sour cream
- 150 g of wheat flour + for sprinkling
- 3 tablespoons of sugar
- 3 teaspoons @ matcha.bros
- a teaspoon of baking powder
- vegetable oil for frying
- Accessories:
- 150 g of homogenized cheese + teaspoon @matcha.bros
- jam, e.g. cherry jam
- icing sugar
Preparation:
- Crush the cottage cheese in a bowl, add the egg, flour, cream, carrots, baking powder and sugar. Knead the dough briefly, just until the ingredients are combined.
- Place the dough on a floured surface. Roll out to a thickness of approx. 0.5 cm. Use a cookie cutter to cut out donuts (diameter approx. 8-10 cm), making a smaller hole in the middle (e.g. with a chasen).
- Place the doughnuts and balls into the heated fat. Fry for 2-3 minutes on each side until the donuts are golden brown.
- Drain the fat using a paper towel.
- Spread the browned donuts with sour cream and additions. Decorate with jam and top with a cheese ball. Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
